What counts as telehealth treatment?

Any treatment administered by a veterinarian to treat an injury or illness by means of remote telecommunications technology. Telehealth treatments include, but are not limited to, phone, email, text, & video call.

What is covered under telehealth coverage?

While your policy is in effect, we’ll reimburse you up to $1,000 per year for medically necessary telehealth treatments of your pet by a veterinarian.

What isn't covered under telehealth coverage?

Your policy only covers telehealth treatment if it’s a medically necessary consultation to support treatment of a covered injury, illness, or behavioral issue. If you submit a claim for telehealth treatment regarding a condition that is pre-existing to your policy or a regular check-up, it won’t be covered.

Note on annual limit for telehealth coverage

Telehealth coverage is tied to the same $1,000 annual limit as behavioral coverage. So if you’re reimbursed $500 for treatment via telehealth & then $500 for behavioral treatment, you can’t be reimbursed for either coverage again that policy year.
